Wychwood After School Provision (WASP)
Wychwood After School Provision (WASP) is for children attending Wychwood Primary School from reception age to year 6.
Breakfast club
7:30-8:30 am
For breakfast the children help themselves to a selection of cereals, toast with the choice of butter, jam, marmite or honey followed by fresh fruit. There are a range of calm activities, from board games to colouring, preparing the children for their busy school day ahead.
After school club
3.10 to 4.30pm or 3:10-6pm
The session is started with a selection of fresh fruit for snack.
There is a planned craft activity from making clay models, decorating biscuits to hama beads or making pompoms. There are also junk modelling and playdough tables as well as access to the playground and climbing frame for outdoor activities. When the weather is wet, the school hall can be used to use up some of their extra energy with fun games/activities. In the main WASP room there is a comfy sofa to sit on and relax, read a book or just have a chat with friends. There are a variety of toys and board games available to keep the children entertained including air hockey, table football and snooker/ pool table, which have been extremely popular with the children! There is also access to the library to choose a book and find a quiet corner.
Tea time is at 4:30pm and just like breakfast, the children can make their own choices from a selection of sandwiches and wraps that we have provided. We are happy to discuss any dietary requirements your child may have.
