The children in Foundation Stage had a very exciting day on Thursday as they went to visit the Story Museum in Oxford. We left school around 10.30 and went to get on our bus. The children have been learning about where we live and comparing this to cities and so were excited to spot signs that we were approaching the city of Oxford!
The children took part in a workshop where they created their own alien worlds using a variety of different items and had to use their imagination to decide what the item could become on their new planet. The children were fantastic at adding in adjectives to describe the different places on their planet - we had slimy swamps, hot lava rivers and enormous grass.
The children also got to explore the small worlds gallery where there was lots of story themed areas for them to play in. They all enjoyed bouncing on the bed, going on the red bus, playing in the sensory room and cooking in the kitchen.
We had such a super day and can't wait to visit again!
