Around The Wychwoods

Last Tuesday Upper KS2 were fortunate enough to have the Cotswold Wardens lead a day for us.

The morning entailed a lovely walk taking in the history of the villages and learning about the Cotswold stone. We visited the Cospatrick Memorial, St Mary's Church (Shipton), the Old Till House, The Wild Gardens, Kennel lane and Alfred Groves and sons. The children were fantastically well behaved and showed great interest in learning about their villages.

In the afternoon, the Cotswold Wardens held four workshops for the children: mapping skills, wool and words, spinning wheel experience and wool and stone.

We would like to say a big thank you to all that came in to help with the day and a special big thanks to The Cotswold Wardens for sharing their knowledge with us.
