Storyteller Day

On Thursday 14th February the children in Foundation Stage had a storyteller day. They all looked absolutely fantastic in their costumes!

We began the day by reading a story that had some missing pages. We then went on a hunt around the school to find clues to help us to find the next missing part of the story. When we got back to the classroom we began learning our completed story which was a combination of traditional tales such as ‘The Three Little Pigs’, ‘The Three Billy Goat’s Gruff’ and ‘The Gingerbread man’.

The children enjoyed making gingerbread men and decorating them. They have also been very busy creating mini catapults to keep Little Red Riding hood and her Granny safe from the wolf.

At the end of the day the children performed our story and some songs to their parents and other family members. They did such a fabulous job of learning the story and actions in one day!
